 CS  have Skype addresses so Australian students can contact them for free.

 Skype etiquette:

Make sure you have a microphone and make sure you have tested your microphone before using Skype for the first time.  There is a test call feature within Skype.

 Add contact with a message

“I am an student”

Do NOT just hit call when you want to talk to a CS contact.  Write a little instant text message that says

 “my name is xxxx xxxxx and I am an student.  May I Skype call you please?”

Once the contact replies, you can hit call or video call  if you have a cam.

It is polite to ask permission to call when using Skype because the person may be on a landline call and if you just Skype call, it can be irritating if the person is already on a landline call.  They might reply “give me 5 mins and I will call you”     IF THEY DO NOT REPLY IMMEDIATELY, PLEASE BE PATIENT, THEY MAY BE ON A LANDLINE CALL  We want the Skype calls to work for us because they offer an opportunity for you to call America for free, so please use Skype etiquette.  If you do not have a microphone, please continue to email support@careerstep.com
